Custom Illuminated Backlit Signage for Restaurant Interiors
In the age of Instagram and TikTok, your sign needs to be telegenic. Have you ever pointed your phone camera at a light and seen weird rolling black bars? That is called "Pulse Width Modulation" (PWM) flicker. It happens with cheap dimmers. We specify High-Frequency Drivers (3000Hz+) for every backlit letter system. This makes the light appear continuous to digital sensors. When your customers take a selfie in front of your backlit letter, the background will look smooth and professional, not like a glitchy computer screen.
Maintenance access can be a nightmare if the sign is mounted on a "blind wall" where you can't reach the back wiring. If an LED dies, you usually have to rip the whole sign down. For these situations, we engineer a "Removable Face" system. We use hidden side countersunk screws that allow you to take the metal face off the backlit letter while the acrylic back remains bolted to the wall. This gives you instant access to the LEDs and wiring from the front. It turns a massive, expensive repair job into a 10-minute task with a screwdriver.
Finally, let's look at the connection point inside the sign. Plastic wire nuts can degrade over time due to heat cycles. If a connection gets loose, it can arc and melt the plastic, creating a fire hazard. We upgrade the internal connections of every backlit letter to High-Temp Ceramic Terminal Blocks. Ceramic can withstand extreme heat and will never melt or catch fire. It provides a level of safety redundancy inside the backlit letter that gives building managers peace of mind, knowing the installation is safe even if a wire eventually works itself loose.
